Fall Has Arrived

Show Plans

We have had a number of meetings to plan the fall show, along with having some fun. We met with Mr. John Jordan, Park Superintendant and Denise Shibley regarding our next show. We are proud to announce that we WILL be having our next show at the Carter Caves Resort Lodge, on November 10th and 11th. This is a week later than normal, but it gives you an extra week to prepare!

Pat Banks has agreed to judge the show. Pat is now at Berea college and is very active with the KY arts council.

APPALACHIAN QUILT

CLOTHESLINE

You may have already noticed a number of beautiful qquilt blocks displayed on barns in this area and others. The Appalachian Quilt Clothesline is part of a larger project sponsored by the Gateway Resource Conservation and Development Council that is placing quilt blocks on barns in nine counties in eastern Kentucky. If you would like to become involved in this project, contact Barbara Davis at 474-6513. We have completed our quilt block and it is on Rt. 174, on the Carroll barn.
